nothing would be more painful
when someone we loved departs
happiness and hopes are washed away
miseries and sorrow piled along the way

final messages and last goodbyes
big hugs and painful cries
awaiting is a period of loneliness
longing for that special presence

a time of abrupt change
awaits those who are left
strenght and faith is needed
to overcome those challenges

departure doesn't mean the end
we should accept that nothing's permanent
face reality and move on
coz someone better will come along
